1. Introduction
DS1982/DS1985/DS1986/DS2502/DS2505/DS2506 are iButton, which  are add-only, EPROM, and have inalterable 64-bit serial UID. Normally, the data in the iButton are encryted with the UID, so that the DS2502/2505/2506 copied by you from a usable DS1982/85/86/DS2502/05/06 could not work well on your equipments.

The simulator consists of three main parts.
A. UID generator:
It will give the same answers as a real DS198x according to 1-wire. The UID of your DS198x to be simulated could be written by my software by yourself.
B. Real DS2502/2505/2506
   It is a real DS250x, the data of your DS198x to be simulated could be written by my software by yourself.
C. MCU
MCU is a controller. When it recognises a command belong to ROM(UID)s, it will switch 1-wire to "A. UID generator". When it recognise a command of not ROM(UID)s, it will switch 1-wire to "B.Real DS2502/2505/2506" so that the real DS250x will give correct answers certainly. When the real DS250x is used up, you could exchange it conveniently.
2. Writing UID and Data
2.1 Connect the 3.3V DC adapter with AC power line, or insert 2 cells of AAA type.
2.2 Connect the simulator with your personal computer by USB calbe and the converter.

2.3 If you read an iButton such as DS1982/DS1985/DS1986, please insert the mother iButton into the socket as the next Fig.

If you read a chip such as DS2502/DS2505/DS2506, please insert the mother chip into the socket as the next Fig.

2.4 Double click the cursor to open the software, select serial number, and click Open Serial Port to open the Serial Port.

2.5 Read data and ROM from the mother iButton.

2.6 Take the mother chip or iButton out. 

2.7 Insert the new child chip(DS2502/DS2505/DS2506) into the socket of the simulator.

2.8 Write the data into the new child chip.

2.9Copy UID(ROM(read only)) to the SIMULATOR ROM area.

2.10 Write UID(ROM) of your iButton into the simulator

3. Apply the simulator to your equipment
3.1 Connect the 3.3V DC adapter with AC power line or inset 2 cells of AAA type.
3.2 Connect the red clip to the signal line of the socket of your equipment, and the black clip to the ground of the socket of your equipment respectively.
